- 1st - South Norwood Country Park: 50 species: 29 Greylag Goose, 2 Egyptian Goose, 3 Teal, 11 Shoveler, Pochard, Little Grebe, 3 Cormorant, Kestrel, 2 Water Rail, 4 Snipe, 9 Common Gull, 4 Lesser Black-backed Gull, Great Black-backed Gull, Stock Dove, 2 Collared Dove, Grey Wagtail, 4 Fieldfare, Redwing, 2 Goldcrest, 2 Bullfinch. - 1st - Russell Hill, Purley. Several hundred assorted gulls flew over from northwest to south east around 9am. I can only guess they were going from the landfill site at Beddington to the one at south Merstham. Normally, at that time in the morning we see a few (only 20-30) gulls going in the opposite direction and then returning in the evening (DL)
